Sharp and witty

A deep and involving, yet easily digestable, testament of life. Sad and depressing, but at the same time hopefull. Sure, she just stole 73 cents out of Jerrys pocket. But still, she walks away into the sunset, untidying her hair as she goes. She did what she did to survive, and even if she had feelings for Jerry, they were purely material ones. He gave her an opportunity for some extra cash once in a while, and even while dead he provided her with some kind of satisfaction she could not get out of others. This is just my own personal reflection, but I don't think she is evil. I might be wrong in this, so don't take my word for it, but the important thing here is that this flash got me thinking... Few flashmovies does that. Hell, few multibillion movie productions from hollywood manages to get me thinking.

Well done.

David Firthesque movie at its best

It is obvious that you have been inspired greatly, both in music, story telling and animation, by David Firth. The music, as you say, is made by the master, which makes the movie all the more enjoyable, but as with all things, the original master is always better than the ones that come after him :) It was a great movie, but I can't help but get the feeling that it would have been a 5/10 pointer if it had been David Firth doing the storytelling and animation as well. Some day you might be shuffling with David Firth over the title "worlds most artistic flash artist," but you're not there yet ;P

Peace.

idiot-monarch responds:

Yeah, Firth is definitely a huge inspiration. Obviously, the movie would be better if he had made it (I think that applies to any movie, really :P ), but being compared to him (even if he comes out on top) means a lot.

Thanks :)

Preloader?

Dude, get a preloader in there, it's not that hard, instructions and finnished preloaders can be downloaded from this very site :)

do you ever read discriptions??/

Immature to say the least.

A pubertal kid singing mad world, wow, that's rich. Suggestions: Choose another song. This song will never be funny no matter how silly you make the voice. Waa-waaing through the song will only make you look cheap or like a ten years old that don't want to listen to the message because feelings scare him... If you want to make fun of something, do it in an intelligent manner. I mean, either you could have changed the theme of the song to something that makes fun of the song in itself, and sung it properly, then maybe you would have passed judgement.

There are simply things which you don't make fun off, unless you can take the heat afterwards. Especially if you fail to be funny at all.

I BET YOU VOTE 5 ON YOTAMS FLASHES

The way of the samuraij

Look, it's over there! Hahaha, awsome. The animation was kind of good at some parts, but the overall art is a bit sloppy, however, it really don't annoy me all too much, because the humor is simple, the animation is simple, the song is simple, it all fits together and becomes something better than the sum of the individual parts. Good job. Only one thing that bothers me, the singer sound a bit hesitant to sing at the beginning. Gets better after a while though. Rock on.

Alright.

You have put some effort in it, but, it lacks color and proper animation. The music gets a bit repetetive after a while and I didn't get the Animal Crossing thing. I mean, there were animals there, but not much else to suggest that these guys ended up in a this particular game. Also, there are ways to make funny cartons without using swearwords. Bad language has a limited comedy value, unless it's used in a good way, like in southpark for instance. Anyhow for a first movie it's OK. Alright. But there is alot of room for improvement.

joesephcontreras responds:

You're right, there is some effort in this, and it does lack color, wait, white and black are colors, so yeah, it lacks rainbow colors in it, which is what you like, yeah. Nah bee, its ok, I might use colors later, just not for this one. Yes there were a few animals, but there are a few animal crossing references in the background. True, there are ways to make funny cartons, with cows on the them that are brown because of the fact its CHOCOLATE, milk. Hahahahaha. Oh, for cartoons, yes I agree with you 100 percent, I like british comedy, you don't need to tell me twice about, what you said. And of course, there is room for improvement, as everything does. I know you know you're shit, you've been on newgrounds since 03.

Unbelievable

A swedish flash artist that gets on the front page? Dare I say that this is the first time in the history of newgrounds? You should be named a national hero ;)

I was like w00t, Fågelskrämman? Isn't that a Swedish word?

The movie itself was awsome, nice fluent animation, music that fit the theme and setting, awsome coloration, also you managed to get some trätofflor in there... Wow.

Daani responds:

I don't think it was the first time in history this happened:) In fact I know it wasn't the first time!

Thanks anyway dude!

Haha, a nice parody.

But naming the movie "Why Anime Sucks" is gonna get you alot of heat from fanboys/girls. Anyway, you should get out more. You are judging anime from child anime such as pokemon, yu-gay-o and digimon. Children might not expect more from entertainment than spiky hair and some card battles, but there are other kinds of anime :P

Anyhow, for being a child anime parody, its sweet :) But that clock voice... It scares the hell out of me, everytime I hear it I look over my shoulder just to be sure my alarm clock isnt moving.

FazzleMan responds:

Yeah, the clock voice is annoying, but my voice sounds like a kid (cuz i am 1) and whenever people hear a kids voice in a movie, they automatically start hating on them.

Too slow.

Really, the timing was horrid. The animation, or atleast the graphics, were good. But the music got really repetative, and for a while I thought the squirrel wouldn't do anything else than scratch his nose and wag his tail. By the time something funny happened, I was already so bored that the joke went right over my head.

Work on it.

Beyond-Insanity-666 responds:

Yeah, I done the music in a few minutes, tried to make it childlike but it was just annoying.
And I admuit it was slower than originally planned, but as i said in the description, I can't be arsed to work on it anymore.

Oh dear God

I think im going religious here. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe, I fell on the ground, felt my arms go numb, my vision fading to black... And then there was light at the end of the tunnel, and I heard a voice calling to me.

"It is not yet your time! You must watch more of LauraNeatO's flash movies and write reviews!"

And then I was drawn back, away from the light and I felt air in my lungs again. I was alive. Uncertain of how much time had passed I crawled back into my chair, and wrote this review.

No, seriously, this was hilarious. Nice, uncomplicated, hearty humor. I love it. Awsome animation :P Your art skills are fantastic. I really hope you will post more of your work here on newgrounds. Im adding you to favourites.

Peace be upon you.
